How do I know which product is right for my child's age?

Every product page includes an age guide — that's the easiest place to start. Still not sure? Drop us a message and we'll help you find the right fit.

What are Raqmis?

Raqmis are Ek Raqm's play money — named after Raqmi, our coin character. They're used across our products and workshops to make earning, saving, giving, and spending feel real and tangible for children.

Do you offer gift wrapping or gift bags?

Yes! You can add a branded Ek Raqm gift bag or drawstring bag to any order at checkout. Select your add-on at the product page or in your cart before completing your purchase.

Are your products suitable for non-Muslim families?

Our products are built around values of generosity, gratitude, and responsibility — values that resonate across faiths and backgrounds. The Give, Save, Spend framework is universal. Some products include Islamic content such as duas and Arabic text — these are clearly noted on each product page so you can choose what's right for your family.

Are your products suitable for children with additional needs?

Absolutely. Inclusive design is built into everything we make — clear visuals, tactile elements, and consistent structure throughout. If you have specific questions, just get in touch.

Can I find Ek Raqm in shops?

Online only for now, but we pop up at community events and markets throughout the year. Follow us on Instagram or join our list to find out where we'll be next.

Do you offer bulk orders?

Yes — if you're looking to buy in bulk for a school, mosque, community event, or party bags, please get in touch via our schools and wholesale enquiry form and we'll discuss what's available.

Orders & delivery

How long does delivery take?

Standard UK delivery takes 3–5 working days. We aim to dispatch all orders within 1–2 working days of purchase. You'll receive a dispatch confirmation email when your order is on its way.

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes — we offer free standard UK delivery on orders over £30. Orders below this threshold are charged at £3.99.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet — we currently ship within the UK only. International shipping is something we're working toward. Join our mailing list and we'll let you know when it becomes available.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

We process orders quickly, so please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change. We'll always do our best to help, but we can't guarantee changes can be made once an order has been dispatched.

My order hasn't arrived — what should I do?

If your order hasn't arrived within 7 working days of your dispatch confirmation, please get in touch at hello@ekraqm.com with your order number and we'll look into it straight away.

Returns & refunds

What's your returns policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of purchase, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. To start a return, please contact us at hello@ekraqm.com with your order number and reason for return.

My item arrived damaged — what do I do?

We're sorry to hear that. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order with your order number and a photo of the damage. We'll arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.

Can I return a surprise bag after opening it?

Sealed surprise bags cannot be returned once opened, as the surprise element is part of the product. If your bag arrived damaged or an item inside was faulty, please get in touch and we'll make it right.

How long do refunds take?

Once we've confirmed your return or refund, please allow 5–10 working days for the amount to appear back in your account. This depends on your bank or payment provider.

Workshops & programmes

What happens at a workshop?

Children earn Raqmis, make real trading decisions, and experience the joy of giving — all in a guided, fun session. Every child leaves with a certificate and a Raqmi bag to take home. It's hands-on, lively, and genuinely brilliant.

How much does a workshop cost?

Workshop ticket prices vary. Please refer to the specific workshop link for more details.

When's the next one?

We don't have confirmed dates yet, but they're coming soon. Join our mailing list and you'll be the first to know when booking opens.

Can you bring the workshop to our school or mosque?

Yes — we deliver My Money, My Barakah directly into schools, madrassahs, and Islamic education settings. Sessions are fully facilitated by Ek Raqm and all materials are provided. Get in touch via our schools enquiry form to start the conversation.

Is the workshop suitable for children with additional needs?

Yes — the workshop is SEN-inclusive by design. We use clear structure, consistent visual cues, tactile materials, and a calm, predictable format throughout. If your child has specific needs, please mention this when booking and we'll make sure the session works for them.

Giving & impact

Where does my money go?

A portion of every sale goes toward building a classroom with the READ Foundation — a UK-regulated international development charity that builds schools for children who need them most. We've set a £22,000 target. Every purchase gets us closer.

Can I donate directly?

Yes — you can donate any amount directly through our LaunchGood campaign. Every pound goes to the READ Foundation classroom build.

Is the READ Foundation Zakat-eligible?

The READ Foundation is a UK-regulated charity. Whether a specific donation is Zakat-eligible depends on how and where the funds are used. We recommend checking directly with the READ Foundation or your local scholar if you intend to give Zakat through the campaign.

What is sadaqah jariyah?

Sadaqah jariyah is a continuous charity — a gift that keeps giving long after the act itself. Building a school is one of the most widely recognised forms of sadaqah jariyah in Islamic tradition, because every child who learns there continues to benefit from the original act of giving. It's why the READ Foundation partnership sits at the heart of what Ek Raqm does.

About Ek Raqm

What does Ek Raqm mean?

Ek Raqm (١) means 'one number' or 'number one' — a nod to the idea that it starts with just one: one coin, one good deed, one choice. The Arabic numeral ١ in our logo represents that first step toward building a lifetime of good financial and moral habits.

Are your duas and Islamic content verified?

Yes — all Islamic content published by Ek Raqm, including Quranic references, hadith, and duas, is reviewed by a qualified Islamic scholar before publication. This is a non-negotiable part of our process.

Who are Adam, Mariam, and Raqmi?

Our characters! Adam and Mariam are the children at the heart of the Ek Raqm world — curious, kind, and learning to make good choices. Raqmi is their little coin companion who guides the way. You'll find them across our products, stickers, and activities.

How can I follow what you're up to?
